Sustainability will also be an important topic again this year

A comprehensive life cycle assessment of BASF's innovative synthetic leather solution Haptex^® shows the significant environmental advantages compared to other conventional synthetic leather solutions. The LCA study is based on an analysis of the entire value chain of Haptex, from chemical production to finished leather goods. The impact on the greenhouse effect, the cumulative energy demand and the water consumption were also calculated and measured.
