Technical Fibers and Nonwoven
Outstanding elasticity means that Elastollan® is particularly suitable for producing mono- and multi-filaments, as well for coating polyester and glass fibers. It can also be worked into nonwoven fabrics using the melt blown as well as spun bond techniques.

A comprehensive life cycle assessment of BASF's innovative synthetic leather solution Haptex® shows the significant environmental advantages compared to other conventional synthetic leather solutions. The LCA study is based on an analysis of the entire value chain of Haptex, from chemical production to finished leather goods. The impact on the greenhouse effect, the cumulative energy demand and the water consumption were also calculated and measured.
