For the ninth time already, the world of architecture was a guest at the Milan Exhibition Centre to exchange information on new products and developments on almost 50,000 m2 of exhibition space. These innovations also included the two aerogel-based high-performance insulating materials SLENTITE and SLENTEX. Both materials are optimized for different applications. SLENTITE, the slim and robust PU board, allows up to 50% thinner insulation than conventional materials thanks to its outstanding insulating performance and also ensures a pleasant room climate thanks to its open-pore structure. SLENTEX, the single-layer, flexible mat based purely on mineral raw materials, enables particularly thin wall structures and offers the particular advantage of fire protection class A2-s1, d0 - "non-combustible". Both products were presented in cooperation with BASF's Italian partner Elements, which manufactures special products for the construction industry, including fire protection coatings for thermal insulation materials. At the Milan fair, SLENTITE and SLENTEX were presented in applications for interior and reveal insulation.
