Flame Retardant

Fire regulations become more stringent and demand grows for alternatives to halogen-containing products. BASF’s Flamestab^® and Melapur^® for flame retardant applications provide safety over the whole lifetime of the final product.

Melapur^® is a range of halogen-free flame-retardants designed to protect connectors, parts and components of electrical and electronical devices made from Polyamide, Polyesters and Polyurethanes.

Flamestab^® flame retardant is recommended for the textile and fiber as well as for the construction industry. It can be used in nonwoven applications such as construction fabrics, in artificial turf for indoor and outdoor PP monofilaments and tapes as well as for applications using polypropylene fibers.
