The "Chemical Strategy for Sustainability" is the European approach for a high level of protection for people and the environment. This approach aims to accelerate the development of innovative and safer alternatives to hazardous substances while supporting the competitive European Industry. The "Safe and Sustainable-by-Design" (SSbD) framework within CSS defines the path to develop sustainable products. This prompted the team at Renault Group to collaborate with plastic additives experts at BASF to look for solutions in line with these guidelines.
