CirculAí is a pioneering circular economy program aimed at collecting and reusing polyamide 6 and 66 waste from BASF customers and partners.
How does it work?
BASF Ultramid©, known for its extensive portfolio of polyamides, is used in a wide range of products in various industries. During the injection process, about 95% of these materials are processed into parts, while the remaining 5% becomes waste. BASF collects this scrap and mechanically recycles it to transform it into high-quality recyclates that form our portfolio of sustainable products. This approach not only improves the use of materials with recycled content, but also ensures traceability and promotes their long-term usability.
This way we drive sustainable solutions by directly purchasing material waste from factories, redefining these materials, and expanding opportunities for high-quality and high-performance recycled products. Our commitment to the circular economy allows our customers and partners to experience recycling and the circular economy in practice.
