The Injection Molding Process – Plastic Takes Shape

Simulation of the injection molding process is the basis for using ULTRASIM^®. At each point in the component, the anisotropic fiber orientations can be calculated from the calculated velocity field which varies in terms of time and space. Using BASF's Integrative Simulation, the anisotropy is taken into account in the subsequent mechanical analysis.
