BASF unlocks endless possbilities @ Chinaplas 2022

Chinaplas is one of the world’s largest and most significant trade fairs for plastics and rubbers. It is taking place in China for over 30 years now and recognized as an important meeting and business platform for the industry. It has a major influence on the developments in the plastics and rubbers industry and is of great interest for the automotive, electronic, information technology, telecommunications and construction industry. At Chinaplas 2022, BASF unlocks endless possibilities with innovative material solutions that improve energy efficiency, prolong product lifecycles, and enable recycling. In so doing, BASF is helping to reduce, reuse, recycle and rethink plastics. BASF will also introduce new co-creation projects, a series of tech talks and provide updates on the start-up of its polyamide plant at the BASF Zhanjiang Verbund Site in 2022.

How to take part and meet BASF @ Chinaplas 2022?
We are where you are – in person or virtually and yet very close!
We don’t want to miss out on the exchange with you whether you are in China or located at any part of the globe. Due to the worldwide Corona pandemic, Chinaplas in 2022 will take place as a hybrid of a virtual and physical event. People in China can meet us in person in the Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center. For everyone else who is not living in China, there would be a mandatory quarantine for one week to attend the Chinaplas exhibition.Therefore we will be happy to welcome you virtually this year!

How to attend in person?
In order to be able to attend Chinaplas, you will need to pre-register your visit with the host on their official website.

Our virtual offer
In case you are unable to attend Chinaplas in person or missed the event, we are offering you a virtual showroom of our booth at Chinaplas. Take a virtual walk around the booth and discover our co-creations and star exhibits. Additonally, we will provide you with recorded sessions of the talks at Chinaplas with English subtitles after the actual event.
What are we exhibiting?
This year is all about our innovative solutions which will improve energy efficiency, prolong your product live cycles and enable recycling. With the mindset of reduce, reuse and recycle plastics, BASF will showcase various solutions that empower the future together. You can be excited for the sustainable solution from Elastopir® Blue PU rigid foam which sets new standards for PU sandwich panels thanks to its low lambda value (down to λD = 19 mW/m ∙K) which helps achieve exceptional standards of energy efficiency. Additionally, we will showcase IrgaCycle™, which is a new range of additive solutions that can help increase percentage of recycled content in applications such as packaging, automotive & mobility, and building and construction. We are more than happy to share our newest co-creations with you, which include Hotter’s range of market-leading comfort shoes, Backrobo Wellness’ mattress topper, and Vimal Intertrades’ durable protective covering in diamond wire technology for cutting hard materials such as granite and marble. Furthermore, our new Ultradur® (PBT) grade that makes attractive branding on metallic lamp bezel surfaces of automotive headlamps possible will be shown at Chinaplas 2022, as well as the newest applications including a Consumer Electronics toolkit which includes collections of wearables and mobile phone protective cases and sustainable drop-in solution for premium synthetic leather applications. made possible thanks to our TPU Elastollan®. And for the first time, our microcellular polyurethane elastomer Cellasto® will be part of Chinaplas and present its variety of applications ranging from spring elements and friction dampers to seals and end stops and various industries such as home appliances, power tools, elevators, and heavy equipment.
