IrgaCycle® turning fishing nets into fashion
BASF and Taiwanese textile producer, Axroma collaborated to transform discarded fishing nets into a T-shirt. Axroma recovered Polypropylene (PP) from the nets, creating recyclates that were then spun into fibers.
BASF's IrgaCycle® ensured consistent fiber quality and allowed a higher recycled content in the T-shirt
