PU Tech is an exhibition and conference presented by the Indian Polyurethane Association (IPuA). With over 5 editions of Polyurethane Exhibition & Conferences held in India, PU Tech is recognised to contribute to the Polyurethane Industry by its expectations to emerge as the 2nd largest polyurethane market in the Asia Pacific Rim. This year, BASF will demonstrate how it is accelerating innovations for the Polyurethane journey, with various polyurethane solutions to enable greater sustainability in the automotive, consumer, construction, and industrial sectors. BASF will also showcase solutions for infrastructure, such as PU insulation panels, sports flooring, and the utility pole. BASF’s sports flooring solution is made without the use of contaminants.

PU Tech 2025 - Accelerating Innovations for Our Polyurethane Journey

At PU Tech 2025, BASF will accelerate its innovations for the polyurethane journey. It will be demonstrated through our various polyurethane solutions based on bio-based or recycled materials, or optimizing production processes that enables a more sustainable future. They will be presented by 3 sub-themes: MAKE, USE, RECYCLE. All customers and partners are invited to join Our Polyurethane Journey. Together, we can work towards greater sustainability!

MAKE

From product design to raw material selection and manufacturing in a co-creation process with customers, we are dedicated to producing plastics in a more environmentally friendly way. As part of our transformation journey to circular plastics and net-zero CO₂ emissions, we adopt alternative raw materials and use renewable energy to reduce reliance on fossil resources and the carbon footprint of our products - without compromising on quality or performance. Our goal is to sustainably MAKE plastics to help our customers meet their sustainability targets.

USE

Plastics are true performance materials for sustainability: They are an indispensable part of society’s sustainability transformation, enabling sustainable transportation, energy generation and building insulation. In this USE phase of their lifecycle, plastics play out all their strengths. We innovate together with our customers to achieve the greatest possible sustainability benefit for their plastics applications.

RECYCLE

The crucial question about plastics is, what happens to them at the end of their life? At BASF, we want to enable a circular plastics economy, where plastic waste is not landfilled or incinerated, but valued and recycled so that it becomes the starting point for new, high-quality products. We invest in innovative recycling technologies for our product portfolio. The type of waste and level of sorting determines which recycling technology fits best. A combination of technologies is needed to achieve circularity.
