Tinuvin® - Light Stabilizers extend the lifetime of plastics
BASF’s light stabilizers Tinuvin® protect plastics parts against all sorts of weather conditions that lead to loss of mechanical properties and discoloration of surfaces.
Tinuvin® comprises a range of Ultraviolet Light Absorbers (UVA) and Hindered-Amine Light Stabilizers (HALS) for plastics. With their help, plastic parts maintain their appearance and properties. Thus, Tinuvin® light stabilizers extend the lifetime of UV sensitive plastic applications.

Tinuvin® 1600
Tinuvin® 1600 is a high performance ultraviolet light absorber of the hydroxyphenyl triazine class exhibiting very low volatility, high absorption and good compatibility with a variety of polymers, co-additives and resin compositions. Tinuvin® 1600 provides superior weathering resistance to polycarbonates, polyesters, and acrylics compared to conventional hydroxyphenyl triazine, benzotriazole or cyanoacrylate UV absorbers.
