Elastopan® PU systems offer high-performance and innovative solutions for producers of casual shoes, safety shoes, boots and sport shoes. These are tailor-made polyurethane foam systems for the production of unit-, mid-, out- and insoles. It is compatible with casting and direct injection machines.

The wedge for a model of women’s sandal was the theme of the XIII edition of the “Footwear Design Contest”, the competition organized every year by the Politecnico Calzaturiero of Padua in collaboration with BASF Italia, the producer of the polyurethane sole conceived by designer Roberto Guzzonato. Based on this wedge, students created eye-catching sandals which are presented at the booth to attract the attention of the visitors. Design ideas turn into ideal solutions .

Forward AM, a BASF brand specialized in 3D printing

This area showcases the materials and technology used for 3D printing through a holographic screen. The features and benefits will be illustrated with actual 3D-printed shoes on display.

Ultrasint TPU 90A-01, a thermoplastic polyurethane, is a fully-functional and flexible material with high elongation at break. Ultrasint TPU 90A-01 combines durable elasticity with good wear resistance and abrasion resistance, making it an ideal material for prototyping and manufacturing applications that require good shock absorption and rubber-like elasticity over a wide range of temperatures.
