Journeying toward Net Zero with PU Laminated Boards

With the growing population in Asia Pacific, an increased demand for housing, energy, and resources comes naturally. If this is not managed carefully, this may inadvertently contribute to global warming and its adverse effects. Following the UN’s 2030 Agenda, governments in the region like South Korea, China and India have set their sights on reducing emissions here, journeying toward a “net zero” housing policy.

Rethinking insulation: Innovative mix of materials in private buildings

Sandwich panels made of PU rigid foam have been in use on warehouses and industrial buildings for decades. Now we have an exciting new example for its use in residential buildings: A solid wooden house with a complete shell of polyurethane sandwich panels. In Buttenwiesen in Bavaria, a private house with plenty of space for commercial uses has been built in this way, combining the use of sustainable materials with high-performance Elastopir® PU panels from BASF.
