Materials and Parts Testing

We provide support from material characterization to parts performance analyses by experimental methods.

In the field of Materials Testing, we determine material properties of engineering plastics with a high degree of automatization and ensure high data quality globally. In addition, we actively work in global standardization and harmonization of test methods. The laboratory is accredited according to ISO/IEC 17025 and UL-approved.

Our Parts Testing support is provided worldwide and is requested in all development phases from material development via application development and simulation to parts validation for serial production.

We also provide technical training for external customers.

Our activities are represented by the brands Ultratest^® and Ultrajoin^®.

Fire Technology Lab

The Fire Testing Laboratory of BASF deals with all questions related to fire behavior and flammability of BASF products. Our laboratory is accredited according to ISO/IEC 17025 and offers flammability and fire testing services to external customers.

Laboratory of Part Testing, Optimization and Joining Technologies

We work on complex technical challenges in the field of plastics development and application. For this, a variety of test equipment as well as facilities for different joining technologies are available. We provide technical support for the development and sales of all BASF sites and for customers worldwide.

Materials Testing Laboratory

The materials testing laboratory is responsible for the execution and evaluation of a large number of plastics-related tests. Our main task is to meet the demand of internal customers for testing and consulting. Due to our accreditation according to ISO 17025, we can offer our services also to external clients.
