Preferred partners for more safety in BEVs: ElringKlinger’s ElroForm® TP-ECO with BASF Polyurethane

How to combine design know-how and chemical expertise as preferred partners for innovative thermal propagation shielding

Passenger and environmental safety remain critical in the evolution of battery electric vehicles. ElringKlinger and BASF are joining forces to advance battery protection through a new material innovation. Leveraging BASF’s expertise in Polyurethane chemistry and Spray Transfer Molding (STM) technology, combined with ElringKlinger’s battery system design know-how, the result is ElroForm® TP-ECO—a fiber-reinforced Polyurethane solution aimed at replacing Mica in high-performance thermal shielding applications. This preferred partnership enables a significant step toward safer, more efficient battery systems.
