What is Elastollan® TPU?

Elastollan® is a thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) developed by BASF. It is designed for various applications that require a combination of elasticity, wear resistance and mechanical strength. Additionally, it shows a good resistance against chemicals and environmental impacts, and is applicable for a wide temperature range. This makes Elastollan® TPU very durable.

TPU Elastollan® is highly durable, non-toxic, and fully recyclable. It can be recycled mechanically and chemically – and BASF is able to combine both technologies using renewable feedstocks and green energy to reduce product carbon footprints and therefore allow for less waste and more value for a circular economy.
