Sustainability is now simpler with Elastollan® N, a bio-based TPU. As a drop-in replacement for traditional Elastollan® TPU, our Elastollan® N is made of more sustainable materials. It is available in a wide range of options, ranging from bio-content of 30-65%. Besides being more sustainable, it has the same durability, design flexibility, compatibility with substrates, colors and effects, strong mechanical properties, hydrolysis and chemical resistance that have come to define Elastollan® TPU.

Bei der Gestaltung der einteiligen, selbsttragenden Kunststoff-Sitzschale wurde das inzwischen universell einsetzbare Computersimulationsinstrument ULTRASIMTM der BASF SE eingesetzt. In der Entwicklungsphase wurde die Sitzschale aus dem Kunststoff Ultramid® mit Hilfe des Simulationsinstruments virtuell ausgelegt. Die BASF-Entwickler nutzten dies unter anderem zur Konstruktionsberechnung und zur Belastungssimulation der Sitzschale. Abdruck honorarfrei. Copyright by BASF.
